Why this site exists

Ushuaia punishes a vague plan in three ways. The national park entry fee was re-priced for the 2026 season and most older articles still carry the last figure. The End of the World Train fare is separate from the park entry it needs, which catches visitors at the station. And the penguin season is a hard season: book a Martillo trip for a September date and the penguins are often not there yet.

So every price, hour and closed day here is read off the official page of the institution itself and stamped with the date it was read. Where the official source does not state a figure, the page says not stated instead of borrowing a plausible one.

Where the information comes from

Opening hours, closed days and admission prices come from the official pages themselves: the Parques Nacionales tariff page at argentina.gob.ar for the national park, trendelfindelmundo.com.ar for the railway, museomaritimo.com for the former prison museum, the provincial museum service for the Museo del Fin del Mundo, cerrocastor.com for the ski centre, and estanciaharberton.com for the estancia. City information comes from the municipal tourism secretariat at turismoushuaia.com. Climate figures are computed from the Open-Meteo ERA5 archive, 1995-2024. Each page prints its sources and the check date in its freshness box.

Tour prices, durations, ratings and review counts are the booking platform's own published numbers, read on the date shown on the card. Practical detail, which sailing is calmest, how the shuttle system works, is cross-checked against several published sources and recent visitor reports rather than taken from any one of them.

What we do not claim

There is no invented author here, no character who grew up on the Beagle and no claim that someone from this site stood in a particular queue on a particular morning. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, and we do not inspect museums or audit any operator.

We also hold no bookings. Every Check Availability button hands you to the platform the tour is sold on, where the price, the terms and the cancellation window are theirs. Official ticket offices are linked plainly, without any tracking on the link, whenever buying direct is the better move, which for the national park entry fee and the prison museum it usually is.

How the site pays for itself

When you book a tour through a link on this site, the platform pays us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra: the price is the same as booking direct. The commission is how the research gets done, official pages re-read, fares re-checked, arithmetic audited.

We compare before we recommend. Where a tour card appears next to an official price, that is the point: you can see both and choose. Nothing on this site is paid placement, and no operator has approved or previewed what we wrote about them.

The currency convention

Argentine pesos are the official figure and the one you actually hand over, so every peso price keeps its brackets. Dollars come first because they are easier to judge at a glance. The site converts at ARS 1,508 = US$1, the official average quoted on 18 September 2026, and computes every figure from that one rate.

Re-checking

Figures are re-checked on a quarterly cycle, and sooner when an official source announces a change. The freshness box on each page carries the date that page's figures were last read. If you find a figure that has moved, the contact page tells you where to send it.
